On Tuesday, September 27, local professionals will gather for the LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting of the Membership with special guest Councilmember Mike Bonin. During this meeting, Councilmember Bonin will address the state of District 11, future plans for our communities, and his personal goals for the upcoming years. As the only board meeting available to the public, community members are encouraged to attend and learn about how a Chamber of Commerce operates.

Bonin represents the 11th District of Los Angeles, which encompasses the communities of Brentwood, Del Rey, Mar Vista, Marina del Rey, Pacific Palisades, Playa del Rey, Playa Vista, Venice, West LA, and Westchester. Holding the position since 2013, Bonin’s goal is to put neighborhoods first, and spends his days “working to promote mass transit and traffic relief, protect the environment, and use technology to make government more effective, efficient, and transparent.”
This year’s annual Meeting of the Membership will focus on the financial operations of the Chamber, their stand on public policy, and how to become more involved. Individuals looking to come into a position of leadership within the LAX Coastal Chamber are encouraged to participate, providing them with an issue view on how a Chamber of Commerce and Board of Directors can work together for the betterment of their area. The event will take place at Hotel MdR, located at 13480 Maxella Ave., Marina del Rey, CA 90292, with seats available at $35/Member or $45/Not-Yet Member and sponsorships starting at $300/Table Sponsorship and $1000/Title Sponsorship.
