ANNUAL EVENTS

CHAMBERFEST LAEXPO

  • June
  • Approximate attendance: 2,500
The ultimate business networking event with over 80 local exhibitors. This family-friendly event features a tabletop expo, “Taste-Of LAX Coastal” food court, and networking event all wrapped into one.

CITY OF ANGELS AWARDS GALA

  • Winter
  • Approximate Attendance: 250

A business dinner honoring individuals that have made a significant contribution to the business community within Los Angeles. Past honorees include: Coca-Cola, YouTube, Mayor Garcetti, Tommy Lasorda, and more.

LAX COASTAL FOURTH OF JULY PARADE

  • July 4
  • Approximate Attendance: 10,000

Our Independence Day parade that travels down Loyola Boulevard with over 50 local entries. The parade program is distributed to our local business community, as well as 5,000 community members of the LAX Coastal area via the HomeTown News.

INSTALLATION AWARDS GALA

  • June
  • Approximate Attendance: 275

An end of the year awards dinner. This event is the installation of our new Chair, Officers and Board of Directors, as well as the announcement of the coming year’s Honorary Mayor, a celebration of Chamber leadership with the presentation of special awards and the graduation of this year’s Leadership Academy class.

LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

Leadership Academy is a course designed to develop leadership qualities and encourage individuals to take more active roles in the community. The Academy consists of seven one-day courses to familiarize leaders with the inner workings of our area and government.

PROTECTORS’ LUNCHEON

  • Approximate Attendance: 300

This event recognizes local protectors of the LAX Coastal area. Over 50 protectors, from LA City Fire and Police, LA County Sheriff’s, US Coast Guard, LA County Life Guards and CHP, are invited to attend, free of charge.

TEACHER EDDY AWARDS

  • May
  • Approximate Attendance: 300

Often described as Oscar Night for the education community, this event is a dinner gala for recognizing outstanding teachers from our local schools. The Teacher Eddy Awards are presented in partnership with the LAX Coastal Education Foundation.

STATE OF LAX

  • Fall
  • Approximate Attendance: 300
A luncheon event featuring important updates by city and industry leaders detailing advancements in construction, technology, economic impact, and more at LAX. Past keynote speakers include Deborah Flint, CEO of LAWA, and Beacon Economics.

NETWORKING EVENTS

BINGE NETWORKING

  • 4th Tuesday every other month
  • Approximate Attendance: 10-25

Binge Networking, hosted every other month, is an early morning networking event aimed at smaller groups who are looking to meet new contacts and make connections, all before 9am. Attendees connect through discussion topics rather than a simple business card exchange.

NETWORKING FOR CHANGE

  • Quarterly
The Network for Chamber initiative is a collaborative group that brings together diverse business leaders looking to broaden their network, while connecting with local non-profit organizations to make a difference.

LUNCH N LEARNS @ LAX COWORKING

  • Monthly
  • Approximate Attendance: 5-30

Lunch N Learn presentations are lunchtime events hosted by the Chamber’s LAX Coworking program that feature bring-your-own-lunch networking, followed by a keynote speaker presentation and Q&A. Each presentation is aimed at helping our members learn new tools to help in business and business development, as well as encourage and inspire them for continued success.

POWER HOUR

  • 3x/year
  • Approximate Attendance: 50

Power Hour is an exclusive VIP event for our Corporate Partners and the Chamber’s opportunity to thank the companies that support our mission, as well as engage with political and industry leaders in a communal environment. Past speakers include Assemblywoman Autumn Burke, Los Angeles World Airports Executive Director Deborah Flint, and USC President Max Nikias.

NETWORKING @ NIGHT

  • 4th Thursday of the month
  • Approximate Attendance: 30-75

Our most popular networking mixer, N@N provides an opportunity for members to mingle, network and sample what our amazing members have to offer. Each month is held at a new location that ranges from restaurants and hotels, to sport centers and lounges, and is a great way to promote the host’s location for future events.

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS

  • Bi-Monthly
  • Approximate Attendance: 20-50

The LAX Coastal Young Professionals support a “young-at-heart” attitude and host networking events, coordinates community service projects, and engage in educational opportunities in order to advance and strengthen business skills and have fun.

The DDC Group is an innovative collaborative committee that brings together industry leaders (large & small) in the fields of construction, engineering, infrastructure, design, and land use.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE

  • 1st Friday of the Month
  • Chamber Office
The Education Committee works with area schools to support quality education programs. They encourage local businesses to assume an active role in sponsoring education programs. This committee meets every month except between June to August.

LIFESTYLE GROUP

  • Every other month
  • LAX Coastal Locations
Lifestyle is a womens’ forum designed to promote relationships, economic empowerment, business exposure and fun to business owners and entrepreneurs in the LAX Coastal area.

PUBLIC POLICY COMMITTEE

  • 1st Thursday of the Month
  • Chamber Office
The Public Policy Committee comes together to discuss policy decisions on a local, county, state and federal level. Attend the meeting to have your voice heard throughout the City of Los Angeles and take a stance on some of today’s most controversial issues.
