Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for our local protective agencies for keeping our community safe. In the wake of recent natural disasters across our nation, the importance of law enforcement and service agencies has never been more prominent. From hurricanes and floodwaters to fires and evacuations, we have watched brave men and women across America rush to the aid of citizens in need. Each department has done their part to fulfill a career promise to protect and serve, and now it is our turn to respond to the call of service by honoring these heroes.
For the past 22 years, the LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce and community has held a special event to honor our protectors: the annual Protectors’ Luncheon. At this event, over 50 local heroes from LAPD Pacific Area, Marina del Rey Sheriffs, California Highway Patrol, LA Country Lifeguards, US Coastguard, LAWA Police, and city and county LAFD are invited to join our business community for lunch and entertainment. Each invited protector is given a comped seat for a delicious meal, sharing their table with local community leaders and business owners, given a raffle ticket for a “Protectors Only” raffle, and sent home with a surprise goodie bag filled with donated items.

This year, the Protectors’ Luncheon is proud to partner with a new community partner: the Los Angeles Rams. Coming back to Los Angeles for the first time since 1994, the LA Rams are looking forward to addressing their “new”neighborhood at the Protectors’ Luncheon with Kevin Demoff, Executive Vice President of Football Operations and Chief Operating Officer, as a keynote speaker. Demoff has worked with the Rams for the past 9 years, striving to build the team to new heights and realize their commitment “to being a key contributor to the betterment of the Los Angeles community.” With the Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park—the team’s new home, to be shared with the Los Angeles Chargers, who are also new additions to the Los Angeles region and a proud Headline Sponsor of this year’s Protectors’ Luncheon—still under construction, now is the perfect time for Demoff to address the LAX Coastal region on the future of the Los Angeles Rams within our city.
