Welcome to the inaugural LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce Blog. Your local chamber is excited to introduce another avenue of communication between our prosperous organization and our wonderful members, “Coastal Comments: An LAX Coastal Blog.”
The Westchester Chamber of Commerce, now recognized as the LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce, in 1968.
Since our establishment in 1953, the LAX Coastal Chamber has made it our mission to elevate local businesses and strengthen the business climate of our community. Serving the areas of Westchester/LAX, Marina del Rey, Playa Vista, Playa del Rey, Del Rey and surrounding beach cities, the commitment we have to our members and community is unquestionable. We are always looking for ways to provide value to our members without requiring attendance, because we understand that as local business owners your schedule is not always your own, so we work hard to establish a robust calendar. From bridging the gap between local officials, businesses and residents in our monthly committee meetings, to celebrating our teachers at Teacher Eddy awards and our protective agencies at Protectors Luncheon (to name just a few), we are actively engaged in the betterment of our community. We appreciate the participation of our members, and the strength and engagement of our community is what makes the LAX Coastal Chamber a success.
Speaking of success, we are proud to announce that our newly renovated website is live! Our website is first and foremost a resource; with every single LAX Coastal member having their own informational page, it can serve as a reference or referral if you need help from a specific industry. Our website also features staff contact information and our calendar, updated daily, to help promote your events, invite you to ours and allow you to register and pay ahead of time. There are also a variety of new features; from our Community Events Calendar to a list of our current political representatives, we promise that a thorough perusal of our new-and-improved website will not disappoint.

And, as if that wasn’t enough, we have also launched our 2015-2016 LAX Coastal Magazine & Business Guide! The LAX Coastal Magazine is an annual publication which includes a directory of our 500+ members, spotlights on local businesses and stories to keep our readers up-to-date on what is happening in the area. Built from scratch, this magazine would not be possible without the support of our proud members, many of whom helped to supply the content and are gracing the pages of this publication through advertisements and spotlight stories. If there was a topic important to our local community we wanted to include it, so keep an eye on your doorstep for your very own copy of the magazine, coming soon, or read the digital version today.
